For more than 50 years, Emu Plains Hockey Club has been fostering a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment for the hockey community of Emu Plains, Penrith, Kingswood, St Marys, the lower Blue Mountains and beyond.
Our club ethos is simple: play hard, have fun. We pride ourselves on our strong sense of community, our passion for the game, and our commitment to maintaining the highest levels of sportsmanship.
At Emu, we believe that hockey is for everyone and welcome players of all ages, abilities and fitness levels. Our club is a long-standing participant of the Nepean Hockey Association with our teams playing at all levels of competition.
Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned player, 5 years old or 65 years young, we’d love to have you join us and can’t wait to see you on the field!
About Us
Established in 1972, Emu Plains Hockey Club was a foundation member of the Penrith District Hockey Association (now Nepean Hockey Association).
In the early 1990s, Emu Plains Hockey was a single men’s team competing locally. With the merger of Emu Plains Hockey and the Bravehawks in 1999, we gained a 1st Grade women’s team and junior girls and have since grown to the point where we now field multiple teams in the men’s, women’s and junior competitions.
Emu Plains Hockey Club has achieved many premiership victories throughout its long history, however, our core focus has always been on fostering fun, engagement and personal growth in its members each year.
